Different thicknesses, sheet sizes, yellow shades and CNC-machined structures are available according to customer drawings, installation requirements and operating conditions.
UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet is a modified engineering plastic plate developed for applications requiring wear resistance, impact strength, low friction and improved outdoor-weathering performance. It is manufactured from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene with selected ultraviolet stabilizers, antioxidants and weather-resistant pigments.
Standard UHMWPE provides excellent resistance to sliding wear, repeated impact, moisture and many industrial chemicals. However, prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation, oxygen, heat and outdoor weather conditions may gradually cause discoloration, surface chalking, brittleness or a reduction in mechanical performance.
The UV-stabilized formulation helps delay these aging effects, making the material more suitable for outdoor machinery, sunlight-exposed conveyor systems, marine equipment, loading platforms, protective panels and other industrial applications exposed to changing weather conditions.
General information about the base material is available in the

A UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet is a compression-molded polyethylene plate produced from resin with an extremely high molecular weight. Its long molecular chains contribute to high impact strength, toughness, abrasion resistance and low-friction sliding performance.
During material preparation, selected stabilizers are incorporated into the polyethylene formulation. Depending on the project requirements, these additives may include ultraviolet absorbers, hindered amine light stabilizers, antioxidants, heat stabilizers and weather-resistant pigments.
The stabilizer package helps slow the degradation process caused by sunlight, oxygen and heat. It does not make the material permanently unaffected by outdoor exposure, but it can improve service stability compared with an unstabilized material under similar conditions.
More information about additives used to protect polymers from degradation is available in the
Wikipedia explanation of polymer stabilizers.
Ultraviolet radiation can initiate chemical reactions within exposed polymer surfaces. Over time, these reactions may change the molecular structure of the plastic and cause fading, chalking, cracking or reduced impact strength.
UV absorbers help reduce the amount of ultraviolet energy reaching the polymer structure. Light stabilizers can also interfere with degradation reactions and slow the progressive damage caused by long-term sunlight exposure.
Heat and oxygen can contribute to polymer oxidation during manufacturing and long-term service. Antioxidants are added to help delay oxidative degradation and maintain material performance during processing and use.
The actual protection level depends on the stabilizer type, additive concentration, sheet thickness, pigment system, temperature and intensity of outdoor exposure.
The yellow color is produced using a controlled pigment formulation. For outdoor applications, weather-resistant pigments should be selected to improve color retention and reduce rapid fading.
Yellow color alone does not prove that a UHMWPE plate is UV-stabilized. The product formulation and technical requirements must clearly specify UV stabilization when outdoor durability is required.
UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet retains the abrasion resistance of conventional UHMWPE. It is suitable for components exposed to continuously moving chains, belts, bottles, packages, powders, grains, minerals and bulk materials.
The smooth surface helps reduce sliding resistance and can limit sticking, product scratching and material buildup in appropriate equipment. It is frequently used for wear strips, guide rails, chute liners, hopper linings and sliding support plates.
Actual service life depends on abrasive-particle hardness, particle shape, contact pressure, impact angle, sliding speed, operating temperature and installation quality.
The long molecular-chain structure of UHMWPE gives the material strong resistance to repeated impact. It can absorb mechanical shocks without easily cracking, making it suitable for impact zones, transfer points, buffer pads and heavy-duty equipment liners.
Compared with direct contact between bulk materials and a metal structure, a UHMWPE lining can also help reduce vibration, product damage and operating noise.
The low-friction surface of UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet helps products and bulk materials move more smoothly. In conveyor and material-handling systems, this can reduce drag and decrease wear on chains, belts and adjoining equipment components.
Many sliding UHMWPE parts can operate without additional oil or grease. The need for lubrication should still be evaluated according to the applied load, operating speed, mating material and environmental temperature.
UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet is suitable for indoor, semi-outdoor and outdoor applications requiring a combination of wear protection, impact resistance, low friction and improved resistance to sunlight.

The dimensions listed above are common manufacturing options rather than fixed specifications for every order. Maximum length, width and thickness cannot always be combined in one sheet. Final dimensions must be confirmed according to mold size, press capacity, material formulation, machining allowance and transportation conditions.
Relatively thin sheets are commonly used for replaceable wear surfaces, conveyor strips, equipment liners, protective covers and guide plates.
The required thickness should be selected according to the supporting structure, fastener spacing, applied load and expected wear rate.
Medium and thick plates provide greater impact absorption and machining allowance. They are suitable for support blocks, buffer pads, heavy-duty liners and custom-machined equipment components.
Extra-thick UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet can be evaluated for large support blocks, deeply machined parts, heavy-duty impact pads and specialized outdoor components.
These specifications require an individual production-feasibility review because plate thickness affects molding time, cooling time, internal stress, flatness, machining allowance and transportation weight.
Yellow is frequently selected for machinery parts requiring high visibility, equipment identification or safety-related color separation. Available shades may include bright yellow, safety yellow, golden yellow and orange-yellow.
Strict color matching should be based on a physical color sample, Pantone reference or another recognized color system. Digital photographs and computer screens may not accurately represent the finished sheet color.
Color variation may be affected by pigment type, sheet thickness, UV stabilizer package and production batch. Acceptable color tolerance should be agreed before manufacturing when appearance is important.
UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet can be supplied as a complete molded panel, a cut-to-size plate or a finished component manufactured according to customer drawings and samples.
Available machining services include:
UHMWPE has a higher thermal-expansion coefficient than most metals. Finished dimensions may change when the operating temperature differs significantly from the inspection temperature.
Large or extra-thick components may require surface planing, rough machining, stress stabilization and precision finishing. Removing material in several stages can help manage cutting heat, internal stress and dimensional variation.
Critical dimensions, reference surfaces, hole locations and dimensional tolerances should be clearly marked on the drawing. Tolerance requirements should be appropriate for the component size, thickness and operating-temperature range.
UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet can be installed using countersunk bolts, mechanical clamps, embedded fasteners, metal backing plates or equipment-specific mounting structures.
Large panels should be evenly supported. Fasteners should not be excessively tightened because concentrated pressure may deform the material around the mounting holes.
Where outdoor temperature changes are expected, panel joints and mounting holes should provide suitable expansion allowance. Elongated holes, floating fasteners or sliding installation structures may be considered according to the equipment design.
UV stabilization helps delay degradation but does not guarantee permanent color retention or unlimited outdoor service life. Performance depends on the actual exposure environment.
Important factors include:
Projects requiring a specific outdoor service period should define the test standard, exposure conditions and acceptable changes in color and mechanical properties before production.
The service life of a UV-Stabilized UHMWPE Sheet depends on both the wear conditions and the outdoor environment.
Quality inspection can be completed according to customer drawings, technical requirements and agreed inspection standards. Typical inspection items include:
