White UHMWPE Wear Strip is a low-friction, wear-resistant engineering plastic strip used as a replaceable sliding, supporting and guiding surface in conveyor systems, packaging machinery, automation equipment and general industrial machinery.
The product is manufactured from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene, also known as UHMWPE, PE1000, PE-UHMW or UPE. Its smooth working surface helps reduce direct contact between moving products, chains, belts and metal equipment structures. This can reduce sliding resistance, equipment wear, operating vibration and maintenance requirements under suitable working conditions.
The wear strip can be supplied as a simple rectangular strip or machined into a finished guide component with mounting holes, counterbores, countersinks, adjustment slots, chamfers, steps, grooves and special cross-sectional profiles.
The white color provides a clean appearance and clear material identification. However, white color alone does not confirm that the material is food grade, antistatic, conductive, flame retardant or UV stabilized. Applications requiring special performance must use a corresponding material grade and supporting technical documentation.

When conveyor chains, belts, products or metal components move directly against a steel frame, the contact surface may experience continuous friction, scratching, vibration and impact. Over time, this can damage the supporting structure and increase equipment noise and maintenance frequency.
A correctly installed White UHMWPE Wear Strip creates a replaceable contact layer between the moving component and the equipment frame. The smooth plastic surface helps reduce sliding resistance while protecting the more expensive metal structure from direct wear.
When the strip reaches its maintenance limit, it can be removed and replaced without changing the complete conveyor frame. This makes it suitable for equipment designed around replaceable wear components.
White or natural-colored UHMWPE is commonly selected for clean industrial equipment, conveyor guides and sliding components. Slight color differences may occur between raw-material batches, production methods and lighting conditions.
The following properties require separate confirmation:
UHMWPE has a higher rate of thermal expansion than steel. Long wear strips should therefore include suitable mounting and expansion clearance when the operating temperature changes.
Elongated mounting slots may be used to allow controlled lengthwise movement. Fixing a long strip rigidly at every point without considering thermal expansion may cause bowing, distortion or stress around the fasteners.
UHMWPE is also less rigid than steel. Long, narrow or thin strips require sufficient support from the equipment frame. The product should not be used as an unsupported structural beam or precision load-bearing rail unless the complete design has been evaluated.
The material may gradually deform under continuous concentrated pressure. Fastener positions, contact pressure, strip thickness and support spacing should therefore be selected according to the actual load.

Important inspection items include material identification, thickness, width, overall length, straightness, hole position, groove dimensions, countersink depth, counterbore size, edge finish and mounting-surface condition.
Machined surfaces should be free from loose chips, obvious burrs and sharp edges that could interfere with installation. For batch production, an initial sample can be checked before processing the remaining quantity.
When the wear strip must fit an existing piece of equipment, the drawing or physical sample should be checked against the actual installation position. A heavily worn sample may no longer represent the original dimensions and should not be copied without reviewing the mating structure.
