Black PE Rod is a black polyethylene round bar for machining bushings, rollers, guide blocks, wear pads, conveyor parts and other industrial components. It offers low moisture absorption, chemical resistance, impact resistance and corrosion-free operation. Reference diameters shown in the supplied image range from Ø10 to Ø500 mm, with 500 mm and 1000 mm length options. The exact HDPE, UHMWPE or modified PE grade should be confirmed according to the intended application.
Black PE Rod is a black polyethylene round bar used as machining stock for industrial components requiring low moisture absorption, chemical resistance, impact resistance and corrosion-free operation. Depending on the required rigidity, wear performance and service conditions, the rod may be manufactured from HDPE, UHMWPE or another specified polyethylene grade.
The black appearance is normally produced by adding a suitable pigment or carbon-black-based formulation to the polyethylene material. Depending on the grade and additive level, the black formulation may provide better outdoor weathering performance than an unstabilized natural material. However, black color alone does not prove that the rod is UV stabilized, conductive, antistatic or suitable for long-term outdoor use. These properties must be confirmed through grade-specific technical data.

Polyethylene is a thermoplastic polymer family that includes several grades with different densities, molecular weights and mechanical properties. General information about the material is available from Wikipedia’s Polyethylene explanation. General information about carbon black and its use as a pigment and reinforcing additive is available from Wikipedia’s Carbon Black explanation.
Black PE Rod can be machined into general industrial, conveying, packaging and mechanical equipment components, including:
The correct polyethylene grade should be selected according to load, sliding speed, operating temperature, chemical exposure, mating material, outdoor conditions and dimensional tolerance. UHMWPE may be preferred for components requiring higher wear resistance, impact strength and low-friction performance, while HDPE may be more suitable where rigidity, structural stability and conventional processing are more important.
The following dimensions are based on the product options displayed in the supplied image. The image contains both 500 mm and 1000 mm length options, together with a broader group of large-diameter 1000 mm rods.

Size notice: The dimensions above are reference product options taken from the supplied image and do not represent guaranteed inventory. Some small-diameter options are displayed as two-rod packages, while other options are priced by 500 mm or 1000 mm length. Package quantity and actual supplied length should be confirmed separately.
The image does not show every intermediate diameter between Ø10 and Ø500 mm. Actual diameter, length, polyethylene grade, surface condition, straightness, machining allowance, dimensional tolerance, minimum order quantity and delivery time should be confirmed before production. Large-diameter rods may also require different manufacturing processes and machining allowances from smaller extruded rods.
Black PE Rod can be processed by CNC turning, milling, drilling, boring, cutting, grooving, tapping and chamfering. Our CNC Plastic Machining service supports sample production and batch manufacturing according to customer drawings, physical samples and equipment requirements.
Sharp cutting tools, suitable feed rates and controlled cutting temperatures are recommended when machining polyethylene. Excessive cutting heat or clamping pressure may cause burrs, local deformation and dimensional variation. Long rods, large-diameter stock and thin-wall components should be adequately supported during processing.
Because polyethylene has a lower elastic modulus and a higher thermal expansion rate than many metals, machining allowance, installation clearance, wall thickness and support structure should be considered during component design. Critical dimensions should be inspected after machining and before assembly.
Black PE Rod is suitable for customers requiring machinable polyethylene stock with low moisture absorption, chemical resistance, impact resistance and flexible diameter options. The exact PE grade, diameter, length, machining allowance and finished component design should be selected according to the actual operating conditions.
Check drawings for full specifications and confirm materials according to service conditions to prevent product defects.
Inspect all key processing steps and fully verify dimensions, holes, grooves and fitting surfaces.
Deburr, chamfer and clean products for easy installation. Ensure uniform quality among batch products.
Choose appropriate packaging solutions based on product features to protect goods from collision, deformation and mixing during transit.
Unlike metal parts, engineering plastic components still require strict control over dimensions, holes, edges, surface, materials and assembly performance for equipment use.
